Boat has 12V71TAB's. Around 1600 to 1800 rpm there is a heavy pounding sound by the port engine exhaust that shakes the shows up in master state room with the drawers moving about 1/8 - 1/4" horizontally. With foot on the strut mtg plate do not feel anything. Trying to figure out if its coming from the exhaust system on the exterior of the boat or where it could be coming from. Thanks
I would say every second to 1.5 seconds. Intensity/strength seemed to increase as the boat leaned or dipped to the port side also. Thx
I'm not sure if this is related but from an exterior position, you can hear older Viking motor yachts coming from from a mile away (or more). Likely the loudest yacht I heard in my 3 years living on the intracoastal circa 2007-2010. Most of the noise was the engine pounding the hull but there was also a distinct exhaust resonance. This was 20 years ago so I can't recall with much detail. For reference, below is an example of the boat I'm talking about. I also eluded to the noise in the Yacht Flocking thread, here... https://www.yachtforums.com/threads/yacht-flocking.5952/page-8#post-38014
Have you made sure there isn't something attached to the shaft, like a crab trap or something? Do those boats have mufflers? Could be something loose inside there.
