My 2004 Mckinna 57 is having issues with the new docks at Dana Point power. I just purchased and do not know the boat very well. I have had an electrical at my boat trying to find the A/C distribution grounding/neutral block to see if the inverter/charger was wired correctly. We have looked everywhere on this boat and cannot find it anywhere.

Anyone out there know where this is hidden? Looked laz, engine room, all panels in the salon and pilothouse. Bulkhead wall inside primary stateroom. Behind the pilot and flybridge helm and much more. Spent 3 hours looking. Nothing.

    Thank you.

Hi Shane and welcome to YF. I just sent a message to Garret Martin at McKinna. I know he's busy building boats (he's got several new models in the pipeline), but hopefully he can find time to answer your question.

Hello Shane and welcome to YF.
Can you expand more on "issues"?
GFI tripping on the dock possibly?
Also assuming "Dana Point" on the left coast? That is probably a real sensitive CGFI service there.

While we are waiting on the builder, can you expand on your dock side service. Single or dual 30 or 50 Amp service leads?
    Isolation transformers?

New to you ship, but any history of gen-set upgrades or replacements?
Any upgrades or replacement laundry equipment, refrigeration units or ACs?

If your tripping the docks CGFI service, all of these and more need to be in the big picture, even for the builder, 22 years later.

Oh, the normal home-body electrician will be of no help here.
This is marine electric service and it can drive you crazy trying to understand it.
50 years in this stuff and still, it's always an adventure fixing these things for me.

Most common; household appliance not wired correctly for marine CGFI service.
