The boat has power windows in the salon which of course means their motor/regulator needs to be replaced periodically. Did that on the port side a few years ago and it was a big job but fortunately on that side there were removable panels for access. Now the starboard window motor is not working, window stuck in open position and only makes a dull noise. The access procedure provided by Princess is essentially to cut the whole helm area apart including bonded mullion and sill, remove switches and throttles, and hire an electrician and carpenter afterward to restore it all. But I have seen references on line to a procedure to access the motor on that side without all the destruction. Is anyone aware of a shop in the Maryland/New Jersey area that has experience doing this repair? Any input appreciated.
