Saltwater intake on our raritan has developed the dreaded rotten egg stench. Flushing it a bunch resolves the issue but it’s a PITA to switch all the valves, flush overboard 10 times, then switch back to the holding tank.

has anyone tried one of the inline treatment systems? There’s one made by Albin that looks super easy to install but I’m not sure what it’s using to treat the water thus not sure it’s safe to use for my system.

There’s also a kit sold by raritan that’s a bit more involved but I’d have high confidence it is safe for my system.

Most heads can be converted to fresh water flush. I can’t imagine still using raw water…

yes there is a kit that raritan sells to allow you to select raw or fresh. I was in a rush when I replaced the head and didn’t install it but I can always add it. For the first couple of years it was never a problem- one flush and the smell was gone. And it’s nice to save water in the Bahamas.
