So how was it? Prices still coming down, back to normal? We did Newport, RI and Annapolis, traffic looked good on the docks but these are small docks and small shows comparatively speaking...
It was the best Fort Lauderdale show my company has ever had. Aside from the weather on Wednesday it was very busy in our display with great clients coming through. The discussions amongst the boat builders we are friendly with was all generally positive with sales happening all around.
Wednesday was a wash out so I spent the day at the Convention Center. Thursday and Friday were like old times at Bahia Mar; busy on the docks, lines to see boats and the food court was packed. Chamber of Commerce weather contributed to the best FLIBS I've seen in a few years. In contrast, several of the big names in superyachts were MIA or had limited visibility. It appears they are focusing their marketing efforts on the Palm Beach Show now. Glad you had a good show Barrett!
Boat Show Babes YF thread: Really???! The only thing I learned is there was more than top heavy boats at the show.
I hear you Judy. Our server software (cPanel) lists popular search strings. One of them was "Lauderdale Boat Show Girls" so I decided to use the images supplied by Informa to do a test. Search engines LOVE our discussions because they are relevant and credible. In fact, we are seeing a lot of traffic from AI now. The majority of our thread titles top a search in Google, DDG, etc. I wanted to see if I could get an unrelated thread indexed in Google and what kind of traffic it would generate. Sure enough, YachtForums was at the top of a Google search this morning for "2025 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show Babes". I have removed the thread from our front page as it may not be the best reflection on our community.
We had really good traffic on RENA at our Pier 66 display. As a matter of fact, the traffic didn't stop all weekend.
I have an owner that's been out for a few years, he put an offer on a late model 85-95' MY that's been accepted and awaiting seatrial.
