    Ouch..
You meant well and you did a great and charming job, all good.
So, what should I consider for my next Bahamas sled? A low hour Tiara with a good quality build a lots of space in the engine compartment to service the engines and the systems?
(Nordhaven prolly too slow and too expensive for a long Bimini weekend or 3 weeks in the Exumas, something quick, easy and high quality like the owner..? :D)

Word is NautiStyles (Angelas) will need to remove the vessel from Bering's yard and have it completed elsewhere. Incompetence is mostly to blame on both ends of this deal. The woman behind NautiStyles is a wannabe actress from Russia. She uses flirty clothing to illicit clicks on YouTube. She and her husband found a following on YT by simply walking thru boats. The chicken importer and the actress are both of Russian descent so there should have been no barrier between dialects, yet she still ended up in court with him and now has an unfinished boat after multiple delays. She only had to look at the number of aliases he operates under to get a glimpse into things to come.

This is why YF doesn't cover Bering Yachts.

The real perpetrator here is YouTube. Bering used a group of talented Russian hackers from the homeland to put them on top of yachting related keywords in Google, including the keyword: YachtForums. Later they turned their efforts to YouTube and exploited Google's algorithm, putting Bering into many user feeds which in essence lent credibility where it never belonged.

The hubby, Rico I believe, does represent he is a captain with delivery chops. More into sales as far as I could ever tell. They are photogenic and enthusiastic for sure.
How many yards and YouTubers have now gone sideways. It seems NautiSyles and Bering.

    The O'kellys and Outremer
The Sailing Ruby Rose and Seawind Cats
    The Wynns and HH cats

Seems like the cruising catamaran yards filled their order books with relations with popular YouTubers pumping up new designs and following the builds and then the relationship goes south. I wonder how many Bering orders are related to the NautiStyle relationship?

Is it all just a grift? Let's get together and pretend we are building your dream boat and all your followers will put in orders. I don't know.

I am familiar with them all outside of the o’Kellys. What happened there? I see they made private or removed anything Outremer related. I just never thought they could afford it.

They were angling hard to GLY
/Outremer, it seemed, to get some sort of relationship going. Outremer needed a boat at Miami for the show ASAP. They joined with the Okellys as a delivery couple. She contracted SARS Cov2 and was out. He decided to go with a seasoned Outremer captain. He seemed to be slighted by the fact that they put their captain on the delivery. One thing led to another and they kicked him off the boat in the Caribbean before the final push to Miami. This was a new Outremer 52.

they have been couch and other people’s boat surfer since.

It seemed they are not willing able to pay for the boat they profess to need and want.

I showed my Mother in Law one episode, she knew nothing about YouTube or Outremer or really sailing for that matter, when it finished she looked at me and said those people are con artists, grifters if you will.

I represented Grand Large Yachting on their Le Trawler. See: https://www.yachtforums.com/review/garcia-yachtings-gt54-le-trawler.19723/

I met the GLY principals in France and then later at the Annapolis Boat Show, FLIBS, and MBS. The 2 owners and their managers were all honorable, knowledgable, and so easy to work with. Not only did they build fine boats (Garcia, Outremer..), but they were great people to work with. When I lost Le Trawler, I also lost my representation with them and I knew I would miss the association. While there might be two sides to an issue, I would blindly take the side of GLY any day.

I’ve only heard great things about Outremer. Hearing the story now makes sense. Never seemed like they could afford one as they were never a big enough channel. Tried watching them but didn’t enjoy.

Glad to hear, I have been super impressed with GLY’s level of owner support after the sale. They go to amazing lengths to help out owners. I know of one Outremer cat that had a ferry rip off their carbon fiber longeron at the wee hours of the morning. GLY dispatched a crew of shipwrights and the temporary FRG replacement that week.

They also put on some amazing Round The World and other rallies for owners.

yes, Outremer, Garcia, Allures, RM and Gunboat are in good shape with that leadership.

You are right about that, not to mention that boat is now sold and that couple is building Otremer's newest largest Cat, maybe 60" LOA? They are likely to be on the "let's take good care of this couple" list.

There are yards with reputations of quality after sale care.
Outremer, and really GLY in general.
    Oyster
    Nautor Swan

I hang is the sailboat world mostly, I wonder who in the Motor yachts world has similar reputation?

My passion is for megayachts but I love sailing and have one myself. It is a 64 I believe and they officially launched it at Annapolis just recently outside of their sneak peak.

Hatteras was great quality in the past but is now gone in the old form. Viking seems to be very good and especially on the East Coast.

Um…dare I dip my toe in this croc infested water? Lol

I saw someone’s comment on the first page describing a real lack of products in the 80-90-ish foot size range for displacement/semi-displacement trawlers and that’s exactly what I’m finding. Worse - I only have money for a fairly well used model. I’ve been hard into the search for over a year now and it’s depressing. I just missed an 80’ Offshore Voyager called “Anna” or “Miss Anna” that would have been a fantastic fit for me, but it sold just as I was getting started. I didn’t even get a chance to see her, but it was good to see that what I want is out there and selling at a price I actually can afford.

I REALLY want a fully enclosed pilothouse - a tri-deck style boat. At least 4 staterooms, comfy separate crew area, room for 2 tenders, and some decent range.

Plan is to leave from home in FLL and cruise the Bahamas, Caribbean, through the canal and up to Mexico, then ship it to Victoria. Eventually it will be a second home in the Seattle area where I grew up, with frequent trips around that area.

My husband has some physical and cognitive disabilities, which is why I need a captain (to run the boat with me) and a helper (to help with my husband). This is my dream not his, and it’s my own money, but I want him to enjoy the ride in relative comfort (and safety) - hence the larger size than what I otherwise would/should be looking for.

    Anyone know of anything?

I’ve looked at a lot of losers. Would love a big Nordhavn but they’re too expensive in the size range I need. Loved the looks of the big Marlowes but they all have insurmountable design flaws. The GBs and Flemings are small and super expensive. I actually liked the AB research style vessel “Rosa” and the MCP “Destination” (I would love something with some character) but again - major flaws. In those boats it’s the layouts of the engine rooms that are problematic. I would love an Outer Reef. I’ve even been eyeballing a 1960s tugboat that was converted into a yacht. But…I don’t want something I can never sell when that time eventually comes.

    Any ideas? Anyone?

Not sure if this post is appropriate here given it was someone else’s post, and I’m happy to remove it if that’s the case. It just seemed to be a good gathering of minds on the topic of this size/type of boat.

With regards to Bering and Rico and Victoria, I always thought it was bizarre how frequently they came up in my feed. The couple’s boat tours used to be really cheesy - used cabin cruisers half sunk in the canals and the like - but they definitely moved into more mainstream and bigger boats over the last couple of years. They seem like nice people, but I don’t know how realistic their business model based on their big Bering yacht is. It seems to me that they probably took out some sort of financing or payment plan based on a future charter business in order to pay for the build, but delays and costly change orders sent that plan spiraling. I feel sorry for them - I was actually kind of rooting for them to make it work - but it was always going to be a huge risk for someone on a tight budget. I imagine they got some sort of deep discount on the Adamas build in exchange for promoting the brand with their content. But not $7-8M. They’ve done a ton of videos about and even with Bering and I hate seeing it all go down for them. Sadly, I think litigation will chew them up and spit them out. The fees and the years wasted in litigation (International litigation no less) will sink them even if they do have a solid claim.

For sure start a new thread with a proper title that will be searchable as not everyone who like boat shopping and helping other shop will see your questions on a Bering Yacht topic.
If you do, your mission is reasonably well spelled out but your budget and size is not other than a big Nordhaven in the size you seek is over budget. Best wishes for a successful project.
