The "Disney ADVENTURE" left Meyer Wismar yesterday to embark on her first sea trials. For those who are not aware, this is an odd ball out of the lot for Disney Cruise Lines (DCL). This ship was destined to be the "Global Dream" but in the covid pandemic years, the parent company went out of business and therefore affecting the cruiseline it was for. DCL acquired the mostly finished hull and superstructure and then had to spend alot of money and effort to 'Disneyfy' a ship that was not meant for DCL. Under the circumstances, I think they did a good job so far. I think this ship will be destined for the Asian market if I am not mistaken.
Royal Caribbean's "Star of the Seas", the second hull in the ICON Class is now in service. Of course the first hull was "Icon of the Seas". Hull 3 is currently under construction is will be called "Legend of the Seas".
Like the usual Maxi-Cube boats big and small; while your fighting on the inside, you don't notice the view from the out side until your dropped off on the next dock.
