Apparently British Builder Princess Yachts has closed a deal selling to a United States Investment company.
Sign of the times. Would not surprise me at all to see Princess struggling in the not to distant future.
To be fair the company has struggled for profits a lot since it was sold in 2008/9. It actually managed a small profit only a couple of times in the last ten years, and what kept her floating was possibly the wealth of its previous ownership (Mot Hennessy Louis Vuitton and Group Arnault) and that it was only a tiny spot in there balance sheet. Investment companies or funds are not known for having a long patience with boat builders. (see Hatteras, Cabo, Sealine, Fairline, Bavaria to name a few names). The small positive here is that apparently this investment corp. is specialized in manufacturing companies.
