Need 12v Battery Recommendation

    I'm a bit limited by vendors that will ship to Alaska. Most of the simple online vendors you find will either not ship to us or are cost prohibitive. I seem to recall Rolls was bought by someone a few years back and I read they quality is not the same. I cannot confirm if this is accurate or not. I've been trying to get a quote on Lifeline from one of our vendors but striking out thus far. It's looking more likely that I'm going back with the Fullriver like I have now. I told my buyer to order the Fullriver if no quote on Lifeline by end of today.

    Here in Fort Lauderdale, FL it's hard to get batteries. I've tried to get certain brands, only to have to drive an hour each way because that's the only vendor that has them. Other brands are simply unobtainable right now, like Deka 8D's.

    I recently had trouble getting a battery in Destin, FL. Finally found a local NAPA Marine Starting/Deep Cycle Battery BCI No. 8D 1425 A for a decent price. I believe it's made by East Penn. They delivered it for free and I paid the delivery guy to install it in my engine room. He even took the old battery core back to the store. Very happy with the whole experience.

    I’ve read that no more than 4 batteries should be run together in parallel? I wonder if that damaged them?

    Anything’s possible. Although my research suggested that’s more fable than fact. I think more likely they were weakened by being drawn down too far when the charger was inadvertently shut off.

    When you stack batteries in parallel, more charging amps are required to properly Bulk, Absorption and Float them properly back to a full charge.
    Without the correct amperage to properly supply that Bulk & Adsorb modes, the large parallel bank will sulfide up and fail early.

    Sadly, better high amperage chargers are expensive and not utilized enough.
