Here is a picture of "Blue Star" when she visited last summer. Or is it "Contico" with a painted hull?, as their site doesn't mention Blue Star.

Is that the 123' PJ Finish Line next to Lady Jen?
  5. That is MUSE in the water next to Lady Jen.
  6. Nasty pictures

I flew over to our shipyard on Grand Bahama island this morning and saw this wreckage. I have not checked the details about which boat it is (or was). These pictures show the bow, and the stern, I do not know where the middle is.

Here is the picture that I did not upload!

I was more thinking stretching.......i know they stretch cruiseships like that. Is it easy to put back together a composite yacht after you cut it up like that though?

Last Febuary she was some where in the Bahamas when she took on water, rolled over and almost sank completely. The article said some thing about possibly a aft transom door failure but I never did hear what really happened.
Does any one know what really happened?

I am not a naval architect, but I think that they add a bit of lift.

Its funny how much people talk about shaft angles and then you see the wash being redirected further down.

I hope I am not off base here, but if I am wrong someone please correct me!

I never knew they 'wet dock paint.' I thought the whole yacht would be hauled up and painted on land or in a building hall etc.

    OOPS!!
Now that's something you don't see every day
That what happens if you leave the transom door open?
Wouldn't there enough watertight bulkheads to avoid a sinking?

I believe she was called GiGi at the time of the sinking, original commissioned as Full Bloom.

I read somewhere (forget where now) that it was a result of a "Major Systems Failure" and not the Aft doors being left open as it is a complete watertight area. Not sure what is meant by major system failure.

Also mentioned was it was altered during construction from its original design as the orignal builder went bankrupt and someone else brought her or something and this may have contributed to the capsize.

When it was righted, the whole top structure was destroyed/missing, so they decided to chop her in two and transport her back on barges.

Hey which boat is this. I am thinking it is a fead though or Big Eagle.
