Need help on a 24v starting system/charging on a 75 Striker

    Glad you got it figured out. What else are your starting batteries powering? I'm assuming the benefit of this arrangement is you can use the 12v elsewhere at the same time you have them available for 24v starting? Personally, I prefer dedicated batteries for engine starting only. If this were my boat I would ditch that additional solenoid, wire the starting batteries in series and get a dual ban 24v charger. One less electronic component to potentially fail and less total connections and cables.

    That is the plan. Needed to figure out the Alt. and charger first before I move the house power off the mains. There are other wires coming off the mains as well that I am trying to track down. The goal is to get the mains just for starting. I have two 4D batteries that are used for the Generators. I really on need one and the other for a backup. In short term, I am thinking of using those for the House power. Have not found a good place to mount two more batteries. May mount one more, use two for the house and one for the generators with a Perko switch to one of the house batteries. I think I can find room to add one.
