    Needing 1000hr service on C18's in Palm Beach, any mechanic recommendations in that area?

    Smith & Wick are great. Used Charlie on a survey last December, he can scope valves on Cats and found a pair of 3406's needed cylinder kits and valve job. If that was all, I would have bought the boat with deducts from owner but many other $$$$ issues found.

    What did he charge for survey, looking for a reputable surveyor that knows C30 and 3412, thanks for any input

    Call him, he can give a quote for 12-cylinder Cats ours were 3406's.

    What ever you do, re-read #3 and #5 above.
    Please ask us if you don't understand.

    It is hard to try and black list a company. These days we would want all marine related shops to do well.
    Many are well and doing great business. I can not advertise for them, but they are not mentioned here to avoid.

    Some of us and our customers have been bent over too many times by this shop.
    There are to many other shops available to do business with without the use of KY Jelly to settle the schedules and billing.
