    A few lunch spots in the Glen Cove area. Prime rest in both Huntington and Greenwich, dock fee goes toward your lunch, Louies in Port Washington just tip the attendant, great brunch and lobster. Crab shell ,crazy scene in Stamford

    Bridgeport has a new marina and has free dockage while dining at the new Resturant Boca Oyster House. Great Miami marina feel. Great brunch. This is where the new casino will be located when finally approved. Outdoor dining and bar also.

    And I thought we answered your question pretty directly - they are an anomaly along the LI Sound but there are a few.

    Update on my Yacht Controller post from 2 hrs ago: still love it but have learned a few things
    1. Change batteries start of every year. I had the low battery warning come on and didn’t have AAA batteries aboard. Robbed one of my TV remotes. Now I keep a big pack of AAAs handy. Don’t let low batteries sneak up on you.

    2. Still like it for the sight lines backing in: can look over my tender or really see the side docks. When I look backwards I make sure the nose of remote is pointing to bow. Flip it back when I turn forward.

    3. Works really well anchoring; first scope the area with depth finder from FB, then I can walk to pulpit to drop hook and back up/set hook with better idea of rode; same for retrieving anchor; can walk forward to help windlass out.

    4. AND I’VE LEARNED IT’S LIMITS
    Docking in wind and currents - like @ St Augustine Muni- you really need to be at throttles to really manhandle the current with engines and heavy thrust; the simple idle/neutral YC commands won’t do it.

    Bottom line it’s a great tool to augment your control in the right conditions; but learning how to really control your boat without it is even more critical.
