I missed this post and failed to respond, but I feel very good about the Sunseekers. They're well built and a mid priced boat and perform admirably. Their factory is also quite impressive. We owned one Sunseeker and, if nothing else strikes our fancy, we're likely to order one soon.

I feel less positive about the company itself, after the Obey deal that left buyers with losses. While Obey was the one responsible, I think Sunseeker knew too much and let it go on too long. I do feel better now that One Water is their dealer although have my doubts about how aggressively One Water will push the line.

I traded an Azimut 68s for a Sunseeker Predator 68. Mutts do not age well.
Sunseeker has a hand layed hull and is much heavier than the Azimut. It also a little slower as a result. A good trade off - The Sunseeker build quality is just flat better in every way.
    - Engine room access and lay out makes maint easier.
    - Interior materials look equal to Azimut but seem to wear better.
    - V-Drive shafts are (in my opinion) a more reliable and lower long term cost of ownership than Pod-drives.

I’d buy another Sunseeker. I never buy another Azimut.

@makesumwake Run, do not walk, I said "RUN!" from this boat. This is a huge problem and even if they wanted to give you this yacht for free, do not take it. The hull is the most mysterious part of a yacht. New buyers don't see them, understand their styling, or know how they are laid up. Mutts, in my opinion, are one of the worst yachts out there. Okay, I said it out loud. I saw a coring once and it was so thin, I wouldn't put my family on one. Sure they sell a lot of boats, but that doesn't mean they are good boats, it means they have great marketing. I write for boating mags and this is one brand I would never put my name on the byline (did it once many years ago when I didn't know better). Every captain even owners I have spoken to that have run or owned a Mutt has agreed with my sentiments. Buyer beware! And if you have or will buy this POS, then you might as well drop your membership to YF since you did not take the recommendations from all those that offered their opinions. Good luck!
