    Some unconfirmed info trickling in...

Believed to be a 120' MY (possibly owned by an Anheuser Busch family member) and 105' SY. Workers reportedly using highly flammable products on a hull repair. One worker reportedly seriously injured.

Reports that firefighters, realizing boats involved were a loss, concentrated on stopping fire from spreading to an adjacent building containing vintage yachts at which they were successful limiting the scale of the disaster.

Others boats in that yard are likely in a bad spot now given the Lift is destroyed. Hope the yard has another one.

The only worse than a fire on land, is a fire at sea.

I believe worst case scenario, the marina right next door (New England Boatworks) has several travel lifts and a crane that can go over the road to Hinckley, if they are friendly neighbors. Although I also did hear that Safe Harbor just recently bought this Hinckley yard (not the boat company) and is expanding NEB to have that additional yard.
