The Abeking & Rasmussen "C2" has been in for major modification work. She has now been seen back in the wild with a significant stern lengthening that now includes a sizable pool on the aft main deck and what appears to be a dedicated beach club on the aft lower deck. While her current LOA is not fully known at this point but it seems the addition is between 7 to 10-meters (just an estimate).

She looks a lot better now with that extension. To me gives C2 a more modern and current look!

Is this her interior from before or it was updated? I can't remember ever seeing her interior before. I know she had a major refit where she was lengthened at the stern to create that nice pool and beachclub area so I am wondering if it was updated then in preparation for sale?

I don't believe any pics of her interior have ever been published, so I'm not sure. The style is very similar to the interior of Ultima III, the owner's previous yacht. In fact, if memory serves me a good amount of Ultima III's furnishings were excluded in her sale so perhaps some made their way onto C2.

Video of her docking in Charlestown, South Carolina last year. There is something I love about this yacht even post refit. I still prefer the Original sister -"Eminence" of this A&R series though.

C2 and her three sisters Eminence, Amaryllis and Titan are all stunning yachts. I have been on all three of them. The quality on all of them was second to none, as one would expect from A&R.

But one design feature, both on C2 and on Emminence, I could never get used to, are those glassed cylinders on the upper forward sun deck. On being a shower and the other the upper landing of the guest elevator. On Eminence those tubes are at least partially covered with a semi hardtop.

But that is, what You end up with, if You give Reymond Langton Design free hands :).

Below the General Arrangement Plan of C2 after the hull extension. If You look at the picture below without the extension, I think it was a change to the worse.

If You look at the bow shape below the waterline, one might wonder but this type of mild bulbous bow works actually quite well.

Her interior was always great, before and after the refit(s).

The bedrooms are Rubbish !!. Worst I have seen. Stark white with a picture or 2. Furnishings look like they were bought at Ikea or second hand at St Vincent De Paul Op Shop. Nothing about this interior says "Raymond Langton". If they did design it, they were given a budget of $600.

Sorry, as far as Reymond Langton is concerned, I was only talking about the original external design of C2. I must admit, internal design and decoration is widely a matter of taste. But the Rodiek Company in Lemwerder, the favorite supplier for internal outfitting and woodwork of Abeking, does not produce Ikea type and quality furniture! They build only highest quality furniture, kitchens and internal outfitting for homes, offices and of course for Megayachts. Together with the "Oldenburger Möbelwerkstätten" and the "Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau", they belong to the absolute top class of internal outfitters for Megayachts built in Germany and in the Netherlands.

    Just my 2 (Euro) cents
