Thinking of installing a camera or two, up on the tower, to catch the fishing action. Maybe pone pointing out to the lures, one closer to catch the cockpit action.

Has anyone done this? Recommended camera?

Want to hard wire them and leave them in place......

I'll chime in to suggest you consider a completely separate system, cameras in the cockpit, up on the tower, engine room, etc. Perhaps a security-like system with a dvd recorder that captures 30 days. You can export those files before they are overwritten. You can network the HDMI out to your TV's on board, and you can splice into the feed to interact with many navigational systems for access to the feeds at the helm as well. I use these systems for information while running, while away, for security, etc, and the added advantage of having them record data means that you won't miss a fish. Suggesting such a system because they aren't very expensive, easy to install, and often can integrate with cameras from other systems if needed.

Yes, I do have security cameras in helm, engine room, cabin and forward looking. Maybe I should just add 2 more to the system....
