Hi I am looking to have some custom made 316 mirror polished stainless pieces made , can anybody suggest someone in Taiwan ,China or any other part of the world , I can find anybody here in the USA that will build the items , or a large yacht dismantles that might have used pieces Best regards Matt
WTH woudl anyone want anything stainless done in red China... or even Taiwan. Over the years I ve had a number of SS things fabricated here in Miami... never been an issue. my experience with Taiwan SS wasn’t good. Can’t imagine what the chicoms make.
Go to your local steel supply house (I use Alro Steel in SE USA) and ask someone at counter sales to recommend a good fabrication shop for the particular product you’re interested in. Should steer you in right direction
I ran a Taiwan built yacht, I have never seen such shoddy welding, very ugly. Just get a local fabricator, it's probably cheaper in the long run. Oh, and one of our welders in the the Shipyard won a European award for waving a stick around.
You might try Aritex in Taiwan They have a long list of customers including Europe: Luerssen, Nobiskrug, HDW, Feadship, Hakvoort, Royal Huisman and CMN. United States of America: Trinity, Christensen, New Castle, Palmer Johnson and Derecktor. Australia: Riviera, Maritimo and Muir Of you could try Ocean Group' also in Taiwan They do some work at NISI Yachts, Palmer Johnson, Pride Yachts, Zeelander Yachts, Heesen Yachts, Sensation Yachts, McMullen & Wing, Oceanco, Jade Yachts and Horizon Yachts.
