Hello everybody I'm french (excuse me for my bad english) Here one rendering of an open of 90 feet. Software used: BLENDER I drew it in seen to build it in small-scale model Your comments please
i like the shape and render but did not understand this sentence small scale model and blender ok but dont know any software named "seen" if you want to build your model devellopable check out http://www.freeship.org/ now also free in french
Very stylish, and good looking. There are various details that could be nit-picked from a practical viewpoint. But that could be said for almost all of today's "open" trend setters. And likely misses the intent of the project. Overall: really excellent work. Kelly
It looks quite stunning...sleek and very fast....it also looks like you had some inspiration for Pershing ITA...
Thanks for your observations For yipster; I m write "I drew it in seen to build it in small-scale model" but i vant tou explain I drew it for to build it in small-scall model And it's right i'm find the italian open very nice, especially pershing, baia or the new range S azimut. I'm continue the work whit more details Bye Philippe
Philippe, your rendering shows a dark grey line curving across the top of the bow deck. Which looks fine, but I am curious to know what the nature of that feature is? Kelly
Hello Yispster Indeed on certain boats like Pershing 88 there are two hatches for Dingy But on my mine, I want to do a large windows in front of the windshield for to iluminate the living room. On the last boats, we can see more and more glazed surfaces and personnely i like it Philippe
agreed, i like glass also philippe. bigger glas on a real world boat is a long story tho but certainly possible. half a circle makes me think of my fwd rotating glas hatch
hey, is that you Kurt? never finished that rear entrance between the 1600 hp turbines but right, would be crazy! Sorry Philippe for the intermezzo, your fwd glas hatch is different, had half a circle in mind and wanted to show
Winsdtorm 100 Hello, I'm the french who I sent to you, several week ago, a projet of an open of 90 feets. It became 100 feets. I modelled it on the software Delfship. I put a jakkusi on the roof. I use this soft for built it at scale 1/18 I draw also the amenagements on autocad Bye Philippe
90...Very nice Philippe 100...Three gas turbines ? Very, very nice Philippe Are comments welcome ? Assuming they are..... Hull...looks like a constant aft deadrise hard chine hull ? If so, the plan view would be better (more lift and planing support at high speed) with the chines in the aft section parallel to the centreline - it looks like the hull narrows at the aft end. The hull step is too far forward, and unless the hull bottom aft of the step is a little higher than the hull forward of it, it wont have much effect....steps on a waterjet driven hull are not that good an idea in my opinion anyway due to the disturbance / aereation of water flow around the inlets. The waterline looks a little low, there is not much of the hull above the chine in the water...it would have better balance / stability if the chine aft was deeper in the water. This in turn would make the stern platform possibly too low to fit the outboard waterjets. Waterjets...look a little too close together, and the centre one does not need the reversing bucket / steering nozzle if space is very tight. Gas turbines...(if thats what they are) I cant see any gearboxes. Thats cheating Lower deck Layout...a lot of the berths / cabinetry looks too far outboard for the assumed deep-v hull shape (outside of the hull). Main deck....that windscreen is enormous. Different, but possibly too impractical to engineer strong enough to withstand a green one. Hope you realise I'm trying to be helpful, not criticising
While it looks like your inspiration for this design is from Pershing, it looks very much like the Warren 87'. Very nicely done!!
