Has anyone encountered and/or resolved a leak on a 1990's Viking? Have done extensive trial and error to find the leak to no avail. The leak appears to originate from near the forward bulkhead in the port stateroom above the top bunk? All the usual culprits have been sealed with no success. Thank you in advance for the input.

Don’t know if this will help or not but on my 95 54 Viking SY the salon windows were rotted out in the area where the horizontal frame transitions to the “vertical” frame that is sloped towards the stern. Hope that makes sense. Do you have a davit and dinghy on the bow?

Thanks for the info. I do have the old style window and had similar issue regarding the leaking, however the leak on the top bunch of the port stateroom has continued. I thought that could have been the culprit because, as you are aware, the older vikings (especially not full of fuel) sit bow heavy.

There is an old davit rack and a life raft but those have also been resealed and the leak does not appear to be coming from there or from the hatches. The leak also does not appear to be coming from the bow rail or the rub rail. Thanks for your advice and if you have any thoughts it would be appreciated.

I realize these are suggestions that you have most likely already chased but have you looked at fuel fill, water fill, and pump out if they are on that side. I replaced all of my hatches but that was pretty obvious as you could “make it rain” inside with a water hose on the outside. They needed rebedding. You think it could be a fresh water plumbing leak or condensate drain leak? I am sorry I can’t be more helpful. If convenient post some pictures

I'm not sure by your posts, but is there a window or port window near by ?
If so, sound like its getting in though there.
I've had success with MAS penetrating epoxoy , thinned out with acetone, and poured into the window channels, gutters , sides etc. The West system syringes come in handy to help squirt and inject it into the precise area you want it to go.
I actually had to get one leak from the inside out by removing some bulkhead fabric and what not , to get to the frame of the window and I injected the epoxy from the inside and it ran through , outside the boat and stopped the leak. My windows were held in with wood .
Anyway sounds like you have got a tough one to chase down.
The MAS stuff, thinned out almost flows like water and really get in there .
