We're looking for a shipper out of Baltimore Md for a Chesapeake Bay based 56' Classic wooden motoryacht, destination Genoa Italy or perhaps Palma de Mallorca. We're finding departures from Newport and Fort Lauderdale, we're hoping for a closer departure port. Does anyone have a resource? Thanks in advance.

There is only one yacht transport company I would trust on a Classic and that is Seven Star (including their subsidiary DYT. I would personally go DYT from Fort Lauderdale to Genoa or Palma de Mallorca. I'm afraid anywhere else other than FLL and Newport, you're going to find yourself using commercial freight ships with people not as expert in handling boats and who wouldn't know a Classic wooden motoryacht from a container of lumber.

Also others might have a hard time finding you insurance on the shipment.
