The 94-meter hull for Feadship project 817 is being prepared for technical launch at the NMC yard in the Netherlands. Once that happens she will be transported to Feadship's yard in Kaag. Nothing is really known about this build as things have been kept fairly secret. For certain we know she has a steel displacement hull and aluminum superstructure. The superstructure appears it will carry alot of windows when completed. Here is a glimpse of the vessel in this shot taken by Arie Boer.

Interesting design. Will have to give my final thoughts when she is done. But as of now I don’t know about this one yet.

Yeah information about her is being kept quiet but she arrived in Aalsmeer early last month and was basically waiting on "Lady S" to launch I suppose. Now she has made her way to De Kaag. She is expected to re-emerge in 2019.

Well...she has been launched today... looks pretty nice actually. The full height windows and the railings remind me so much of "Rising Sun" and "Musashi"... think there is a connection here?

I believe this yacht is owned by the brother of Lonian's owner. And their third cousin also owns a brand-new Feadship.

On fedship website they say the hybrid system is especially advanced
Wonder what makes it so advanced.

No swim platform and no stairs at stern. What, couldn't afford to make it 95 meters? Odd.

I guess there is a huge hydraulic swim platform that lowers to create a beach club space

There us a bottom-hinged transom platform that will make the space when it is jettisoned to the waterline.

It is the largest that they can make at Kaag with a straight bow.

I have read a couple of articles that suggest the current trend toward transoms that fold up or draw in is partly for security concerns. This turtle like arrangement makes the yacht better protected from unauthorized boarding or invasion.

I count 4 big doors on the side. I'm guessing, Beach club. Tenders. Wellness Center. And the crew gymnasium cum Disco. :)

She looks good. I do wish she had the platform however it makes sense and it doesn't look bad. I look forward to seeing more of this one in the coming months.

816 and Faith are the same. Yet I prefer Lonian. The stairs and platform just "flows" better.

Mast installed now so you can get the complete look of her overall. The mast/arch area is now tented off since the mast was put on.

Another aerial from just after the launch.
