You guys deserve the Cup... we don’t here in the US as nobody cares about sailing.

first races starting today but NBCrap is delaying the broadcast till 1 am... I guess some stupid pre recorded show called american ninja monster is more important...

And apparently there is no way to stream it live here in the US

A VPN is your friend. You can get them really cheap and skip region bound content. Just set mine to New Zealand and now will watch the cup on YouTube. I’m not seeing this show up on NBC for me but this will work for the interim.

We may not care as much as NZ as a nation but we care. Patriot was built close to my house and I have a friend who's an engineer on the team and in NZ now with his family. Plenty of sailors around who want to see NYYC bring the cup back home. Would love to have the race back in Newport. So far so good. At least we didn't start like the Brits.

i got ExpressVPN yesterday. Was able to watch the races live on YouTube. What I haven’t figured out yet is how to airplay it on AppleTV... the vpn prevents it. There seem to be a work around where you can set an expeessvpn DNS on the appleTV but haven’t tried yet.

You can set up the VPN on the Apple TV and watch natively on the YouTube app. Not sure with express but many of them have dedicated apps in Apple TV to assist in the setup.

I agree on NZ. Watching these kites is exciting, but it’s not sailing. Watching via You Tube.

Here’s a guide on ways to get it to work. Alternatively, you could also get a HDMI adapter and plug your device directly to the TV to avoid messing with these workarounds.

I know a bunch of the American Magic Team and Owners. They sure care about sailing.

That's not really what you said. You said nobody. I agree that there isn't a huge fan base, but there is a good segment of the population that are sailors and care about racing.
My social media feed is full of daily updates. I'm watching. You're watching. And I'm rooting for American Magic!

I care. One of the top weeks of my life was watching Oracle come back and take the cup in SanFran.
    US sailors care.
NZ sailing is like soccer, every kid does it growing up. Here, well, I never saw a sail until I was in college. South Dakota is just not that way:)
