News: Horizon Yachts Launch Latest FD87, Hull 16

Hull 16 Of FD 87 nears Completion

The newest FD87 unit has hit the water and is nearly completed to be handed over to its owner. This one has a grey hull and white super structure and represents hull 16 of this burgeoning model for Horizon Yachts. As usual, the design of the yacht is by Cor d Rover in conjunction with the builder while the interior is in-house by Horizon Yachts. Onboard, there is a 5-cabin layout which easily sleeps up to ten guests.

Here is peep at the principal cabin onboard for the owner of the vessel. This suite is full-beam utilizing ample side glazing and even a skylight above resulting in a naturally well-lit room during the day. The décor throughout the yacht is contemporary but quite mature in its execution. The room has a his and hers ensuite bathroom which in-fact stretches the entire beam of the yacht making this the first time the principal ensuite covers the entire beam on the FD87.

Hull 16 is powered by a pair of CAT C32 diesels with 1,600 horse power each side. The power available should permit a top end of 20-knots and cruising for longer range at 10-knots. Special features onboard include a small beach club in the transom, a multi-function upper deck socialization space with stone-clad bar and flush ceiling-mounted outdoor TV, room for the tender and its own davit. As you can tell from the photos the latest Horizon FD87 is nearly completed and ready to be handed over. This yacht will be delivered to her American owner later this month.
