I know the pros and cons have been discussed but do to a disability I cannot do a ladder. I currently have a Tiara 3700 open but I would really like a sport fish, something in the 36' - 45' range. So if you could give me any idea of which boats have stairs I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks

We looked a little for something similar before we bought current boat and had a hard time finding actual steps up to the bridge in this size range. Although not as high quality as Viking or some of the battle wagon custom sport fish guys, the Silverton convertibles have molded in stairs. I've run a 45 a little and was pleased with the boat for what it was.

Thank you for your response. I had heard that Luhrs also has stairs and was reading about them to ind out that Silverton and Luhrs are part of the same company.

Riviera built a boat in your size range with molded steps/stairs. I think it was a 43'......

I remember there is a 58 Bert MY with cockpit extension, elevator to the fly bridge.
Also a Huckins SF (Blue Eagle) with wheelchair davit extension and elevator also.
Both have been (Still?) on the market.
You may have to stay in the low deck express builds.

    Good wishes and luck shopping.

Some of the Tiara 48 Sportfish have Factory stairs to the flybridge.

Depending on your ability. Ocean Yachts might be an option. The ladders are at an incline, somewhat stair like I am replacing the original treads to make it even more stair like.

I have also seen a few Aftermarket stairs to the flybridge built of aluminum or Stainless. Here’s a picture of one.

They WERE sorta-kinda part of the same overall company before Luhrs Group -- which also included Mainship, Ovation, and Hunter sailboats -- went belly up, circa 2011 or so I think. Egg Harbor Group now owns Silverton but doesn't actually build boats, dunno what happened to Luhrs.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming: these (and the Riviera) are the only sportfish/convertibles I know of with stairs (although there may be others). Recent hulls were drawn by Blount, and build quality is decent, but they're not Vikings or Hatteras. PM me if you want more info on various Silverton models.

Many other flybridge boats with stairs exist, but they're usually Sport Bridge (Silverton), Sedan Bridge (Sea Ray), etc.

Thanks guys. The more stair like the better since I do not have arms to hold with.

As I think Ralph said earlier, there are boats with elevators to the bridge, quite frankly you may be better with a boat that has a ladder, remove it and put an elevator in its place.

Story I got is that was the "Body by Fisher" family from General Motors. Originally it went up to semi tower height and when it was new he got stuck at the top. Or so the story goes.

Yeah, they had the patent on Automotive Seatbelts , and that lift may have been a telescopic helm chair originating at the cockpit level. I am sure he would have been strapped in well with his seat belt background!

Luhrs had them in many of their models. I had stairs in my 34' Luhrs SF. To be honest I prefer the ladder as I had a few people slip and fall down the stairs when fishing or with wet non-deck boots. But my wife and dogs loved the stairs on the Luhrs.

I have a 1999 36 luhrs tournament. It has a full stairs to the fly bridge. Very comfortable and easy to get around.

Have seen where Viking built a couple boats with lift to the flybridge for a yachter who was wheel chair bound. Was in one issue of their company magazine, but I don't have the back issues. You could call them, I'm sure would talk to you about what was done/required.

Here are some old videos of a Viking 54 SF with stairs. They also did a 66 SF, which was based around Palm Beach.
