I wish had new the manufacturer before I ask this but I don't, Bennet or Boat Leveler systems. perhaps.

I have the joy stick switch on my '87 Post 43, to control my tabs and absolutely hate it. I have the rocker switch type on my other boat with Boat Leveler manufacturer I believe. My question is, has anyone replaced their similar switch for the double rocker switch set-up? My current switch is like the one in the photo.

    Thanks,

    Jamie

Double rocker switches will go in fine.
The matrix of wires is still the same and I think the wire color code is the same also.
The sad part, just a larger hole in the dash.

Strange, I kind of liked the joy-stick better than the dual rockers.

I’ve got the same thing . I like it , takes up less space on my small dash .
But on my 22’ Chris Craft hot rod dory I have rocker switch electric Lenco units.
Which are easier to work a high speed I find .
Sounds like you can change yours over from what Capt Ralph said .

I also like my joystick for controlling the tabs. Very easy to make subtle changes and looks better on my dash than rocker switches.
As Capt. Ralph says, rockers would be very easy to add instead of the joystick.

Like the OP I prefer toggle switches, especially with indicators to show how far down the tabs are. I've seen many operators (myself included) push for more tab when there is no more to go. Also the separate toggles let you know if you have a problem with either tab. There should be no problem switching them out.

I worry the dual rockers will let water into your dash, the jot stick will not.

I've only run a few boats that had the joy stick. All the rest had rockers and I've never run into this although I never recommend spraying directly at any dash when rinsing a boat. Some of these boats have a full field of rocker switches on the dash. That's what gaskets are for.
