Hey guys just informing those of you who do not know, the largest sloop in the world, has been renamed. Her name is now "M5", you might have known her as the "Mirabella V" when she was built. Her famous initial owner, Joe Vittoria sold her to the current owner mid last year. She is currently in Falmouth for refit to have somethings changed for her new owner's needs. She will emerge nearly a year later in 2013 where she is expected to be cruised heavily or returned to the charter market.

After the refit this will take some getting used to but I think it will be a nice look for her, opposite transom to what we been accustomed to. The new "M5".

I like the former transom more. This one is more for traditional hulls.

I think he has a important reason for this modification ;)

But where are all the toys and tenders now? All on the foredeck?

If you look at the transom with the new mod you can make out that she will have a fold-down or up door, So I believe the main tender is still going to be stored in there.

Ah, yes! At the first look I saw a slim fold-out staircase. If I look more exact it is wider.

It's interesting that the image cuts off the bow... I think that transom will look awkward as part of the whole vessel.

I think it is not going to look as bad as we are thinking. It will be some getting used to but...we will see!

The mast has been taken out now so the refit is underway.

Reading the numbers on her rig load cell indicators would probably scare me. I would hate it to be in her neighborhood, when this rig and mast gigantism comes down .

A bit over the top but a great ship. I have to wate for a complete high res picture to judge her new appearance.

This was not meant as any kind of critisism on M5. Just the scale of those numbers would scare me. The rig is gigantic but for sure not unsafe be any means. On her new overall appearance I have just not made up my mind jet. I have to see more high res pictures to make up my mind.

After her latest refit, M5 has been featured in the latest edition of a famous yachting magazine. She has a really good-looking interior.

In my view she looks much better inside and out. This is the second refit for the current owner, and she is a much better looking boat than when she was launched.

"M5" ex."Mirabella V" has got to be one of the most extensively refitted sailing yachts around. She recently emerged from her third extensive refit that considerably changed both her exterior looks and interior. Her interior was completely redone...again and a composite hardtop was added to replace the soft bimini that was there before, now she has this metallic grey hull and accents. Here is a look at her evolution.

I almost didn't recognize M5. Looks quite a bit different from the last time I seen it.
