I’ve been on the lookout for a retro runabout and recently ran across this 1963 all-mahogany 18’ Cruisers “Sea Camper” with a 90 hp Johnson. It’s a little small by YF standards but the price is right. Wisdom welcome!

Very nice, like the design and really nice condition, needs a “nick name”?

I like that a lot. True, I am a bit of a varnish pervert to start with.

Lovely boat for lakes and bays. Add wine, bread and cheese, and you are set for the afternoon.

That Johnson OB needs to look a little more period correct...

    Otherwise, a beautiful little boat.

That Johnson is from the early 90's. Hard to beat old 2-strokes for longevity. I wonder how many current day outboards, with all their techno-wizardry, will be running 30 years from now?

Beautiful boat, in great condition. Can you fit a girl with very long legs in the V berth?

Then you definitely want to make sure to make sure you can fit at least two tall Russian girls in There. An important part of any sea trial!

Too much wood, run don’t walk, run away from that little beauty, long-legged Russian girls included or not. o_O
I made the same mistake early in live, got me a wooden boat I did, bad mistake in warmer climes: Just say no..:(

I hear ya Dag! I'm in the "wood & water don't mix" camp, but I wasn't planning to splash this boat. In the 50's & 60's there were a few small outboard boats with big Cadillac-like fins built to emulate their automotive counterparts, which were influenced by the jet-age. These boats might become future collectables, but short of that, it could be a good promo vehicle.

    Follow this link for examples...

I was thinking more chrome... fins... louvers, even. Something like the old outboards that may or may not have been designed by the same people that did Chevrolets in the 50s.

Hmm, if you say so Boss. o_O

That little trailer woody sure is cute, but that is about all it is good for.
A YF promo vessel/vehicle should be some 95’ sexy Italian go-fast boat with
huge wraps along the sides and fast bikini babes on every external deck and platform: Don’t be shy Carl, go all the way and make it happen.

Dag, dignity at all times old boy. Dignity.

The bikini bunnies always go on the fore deck.
