I Fully agree, a RIB is the only way to go, some of the 'tenders' shown on the previous pages are very impressive motor boats, but id hate to have to recover one in any kind of swell. However for a megayacht a full fleet of water toys and boats is a selling point to owner or charterer's, especially that turbine RIB and the Jonnger shown eairler:D .
The most impressive power yacht for me is the one the carries the biggest sail boat, tender of choice 45ft racing yacht, ok maybe 60ft.

    Hello there,
I found a short movie of the 33 aquariva http://www.botentekoop.nl/filecache/movies/6/

Time will tell if they are durable or not. I guess it will be ok.

Guido de Groot has a nice one up his sleeve.

It looks like something you would see the special marines unit using....Mabe they could use those on the Sigma project..looks very militaristic..

As a tender? i do not think so...a tripple hull...how is that going to fit aboard most yachts especially when the space is take up by other big tenders as well?

I agree Jannick. For a sailing auxiliary to go with a large yacht a multi-hull (catamaran would also work) makes much more sense than the usual keel monohull.

hm.. i'm designing a 37m yacht with side-loaded tender, i think if you take down the mast it should work!

also if you have a 80m motor yacht, maybe you want to sail a bit, and maybe you like some triple hull yachts like me <imagine laughing smile here>

i got also the idea to design a sail-cat with a look-like tender, just some meters shorter *g*

If you want a multi-hull tender, a Volvo X-40 cat could be great fun!

Lotsa' pics of the VX40s can be found at their site: http://volvoextreme40.org/

The particularly nice thing about these cats is they can be folded up and put away into a relatively compact place. They were made to be shipped from venue to venue in regular shipping containers.

Maybe not so original, but I love the Novurania rib's,

And If I had the space on my yacht I would take the Riva Aquarama with me as tender, lovely boat.

Yeah, especially when a 4/5 meter great white is following you on your tail!
