Octopussy was one of several yachts built by Staluppi, all named after James Bond movie titles.

I'd still interested to know what it burns at 50 kts......

Just using basic interpretive calculations, you'd estimate roughly 800 gallons per hour WOT based upon 10,500 HP.

I'm not sure about the 396s, but on a 50m Westport with twin 16V4000s (roughly 3800HP each) we would burn about 330gph at 90%. So I would guess between 450-500 gph

1/10 gallon per HP per hour / 2 for medium to large turbo diesels.
This is a good (crude) rule I have used.
On boats with flow scans in good shape, you can figure your HP curve working backwards.
Still crude but does offer a curve.

lets try it; 10,500 hp / 10 = 1050..
1050 / 2 = 525.

450-500GPH would be a good fast cruise sense you can't stay at WOT all day.

Is there an exact MTU engine model number out there somewhere?

Yeah, I grabbed the wrong multiplier (used gas not diesel). It's roughly .058 gallons per hour per horsepower. So, 609 for 10,500?

I believe there have been lots of modifications since new. Boats, in general, get heavier over the years. Equipment and wiring are added, but wiring is rarely removed. Apparently they filled a couple of dumpsters with removed wiring when BERILDA was refit in 2015-2016

Good to leave wire behind to later use to pull new exhaust lines.

We pulled a literal mountain out and still don't have all removed. Several generations of refits left behind.

The Millennium 140’s 65+knot performance is provided by two Paxman 18-cylinder main diesel engines for a combined 10,870 hp, with twin TF80 Lycoming turbines adding 9,200 hp. These four powerplants drive a system of 3x Lips waterjets, which begs the question... what's the gas mileage? Well... fuel capacity is 15,000 gals. and the maximum range is estimated at 3,800 nm. Ignite the turbines... and your mileage may very!

Against the pins long after the torque curve starts diving, your just pouring in and burning fuel.
At 609GPH, I can imaging just burning fuel and near dark exhaust color.

For the weight, probably cheaper to own a 747.
