Well,,,,for the record,, you were right olderboater. The virus is no joke. I think my optimism and the fact the news has everyone freaking out every time there is a slight dusting of snow on the ground has me jaded. It seems like we have this constant push for us to need to be freaking out about something. Its like the boy who cried wolf. I am afraid this time there was really a wolf.

I think that right there is the biggest issue in this entire scenario... the media makes a circus out of every little thing that happens on the planet and the vast majority of the time they do blow it entirely out of proportion. Sensationalism keeps people tuning in, and people tuning in equals advertising dollars/euros/whatever. That's all they care about... the actual story, the truth even, is inconsequential to them, as long as they've got eyes on screens.

This time, it bit everyone in the ass.

Personally I'm bored with the "BREAKING NEWS" banner across every new story or every additional tidbit of an old one. At this point it's meaningless. It's gotten to the point where I'll watch a few minutes of the news, mainly to hear what Dr. Fauci has to say, and listen to almost nothing the administration nor the talking heads of the media say. Much rather watch and listen to the guys on Moonshiners or the dysfunctional crews of the Below Deck fiascos or an old episode of Perry Mason. Deadliest Catch starts back on 4/14.

You'd have to attend their rallies (where they went to spread the virus). It's one of their code phrases like belittling names for their opponents. Think like a 3rd grader and you'll get it.

Wondering how long politics are going to be tolerated on this thread. I m confused... The same people who argue this is a major national emergency and disaster can not seem to stay away for political attacks against the administration. How petty.

You might ask yourself that considering your posts 455 & 459. The fact is that there is one person responsible for the mishandling of this tragedy. That's where the buck stops.

Quite frankly I'm not going to bother with this thread any longer.
The politics just don't want to end.

That's just the thing...it is not easy to get accurate news on this topic without having to peel layers of political agendas away from the wording. This isn't an issue created by this forum or by its users. It's simply everywhere.

Well said. The legacy media is a huge part of the problem. We simply don’t believe them anymore with good reason.

Everyone has an agenda. No one can simply discuss facts. Everyone is out for the gotcha to obtain their moment of superiority, be it against POTUS or against a meager poster on a forum. Pathetic, really is.

This thread is nearly 500 posts long. Very few people will read a thread this long, especially if politics are involved. It's time for the thread to rest.
