I've been following your spreadsheet, and came across this info which may save you some time. This link is for US stats, but there are tabs on the left for worldwide as well.

Very late to the game Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday issued a 30 day stay-at-home order for the entire state effective Thursday night.

State wide orders are silly as they don’t take into account the differences between rural areas where folks still know the meaning of common sense and clueless urban entitled (insert favorite expletive)

That's ok. The virus doesn't know the differences either anymore than it knows not to cross state borders. This patchwork approach assures that this will be going on for a long time to come. Had it been done nationwide back in February I believe we'd all be back to our lives by now.

California did it early and it helped tremendously. There is plenty of the virus in rural areas. Not as many total cases, and perhaps initially lower per capita, but people move around and the main difference in the rural areas of FL is many of them have had very little testing. Liberty county has only had 3 tests, Calhoun county 15 tests. Hardee 19, Glades 7. The tests in some have only been done in the hospital. Glades had 3 positives out of 7, all were hospitalized, 1 has died so far. There are only 13,700 people there so the death rate is higher than South Florida.

Thinking the virus is going to stop in a given area has failed when tried so far. NY thought they'd confine it to Westchester County. Italy thought they'd confine it to Northern Italy, primarily the religious group it hit first. There's a reason California has had only half the deaths of New Jersey.

We tried nationally and many states tried to avoid lockdowns or sheltering in place and it's not worked out.

Tried to avoid lockdowns and sheltering in place. Still it's only limited.

Actually the fastest route would have been to let it run it's course unfettered ...and we would have come through it with maximum casualties but in minimum time.

I agree that Florida waited too long but it's the United States of America not the Federal Government of America. It's the states call. Can you imagine the states reactions to a nationwide lockdown in February? That was NEVER going to happen no matter who was president. Short of martial law on a national level I doubt that it could even be done. Would have been nice if the ChiComs told the truth from the start, too.

Lysol in the gold can is also a great surfactant to remove grease and stains from most fibers and carpet. Spray and rub with a clean rag.

The point of the lock down is to slow down it's spread so it doesn't totally OVERWHELM the hospitals who have limited supplies and limited ventilators.

Cool site, thanks, will have to monitor it. Right now it looks incomplete for the US, but I suspect they are working off Zulu time, so their day would just have started and they are waiting for daily reports.

Olderboater the worldodometer site is the main source for my raw data.

Instead of posting and filling pages in various places I've put it all on a blog page.... https://woodenshoe.blog/covid/

Exactly, and how many more cases are there around the country due to the raft-ups, sandbar and beach parties and such that took place in Florida or other states that didn't enact stay at home orders over the past 3 months while we were all watching the numbers rise everywhere. NY'ers were flying and driving the virus to Florida for months, but you had no idea because people weren't being tested. There should have been a federal stay at home order and initiative when we saw what happened in China and Italy and cases first started showing up here. This is a nationwide (and worldwide) problem. It should not have been left to individual governors with their own agendas. Florida has a very large senior population. I pray you don't see numbers like we're seeing in NY, but I'm not optimistic due to that senior population and the behaviors I've seen reported here and elsewhere. DeSantis said he was waiting for the President to say do it. The governors don't have the WHO, CDC, FEMA, NSA, etc. A week ago we were told to fill our churches a week from this Sunday. Yesterday we were told that the feds will consider it a job well done if 200,000 Americans die, and NOW we should all stay at home.

The counties here were pretty quick to jump on it. But with anything regarding the government, it takes time to set forth things in motion due to the amount of people and decision makers involved. Yes, we had the start of spring break, but about a week into it all of the counties started closing all of the beaches. I really don't see beaches being an issue IF people stay 6' away from each other. But now the normal residents that would go for a run or walk on the beach in the early morning/late evening can't do that.

The spring breakers then took it to boats, and the counties, albeit a week later did jump on that and outlaw the rafting up etc. Boat ramps are closed, etc. but in broward can still boat if you only have immediate family on board, less than 10 people, 50' from other boats. State says the same, however DADE county is still following their total boating lock down.

Now, here's the REAL issue. Especially as far as it concerns the marine industry. The federal government is saying certain aspects of the marine industry are essential and non essential, the states have their own list of what's essential and non essential and then counties their own version. So nobody knows who to follow, or what to believe...…. meanwhile, certain things still need to go on. For example, I unloaded a yacht off of a freighter that was shipped several weeks ago, loaded another one on a different freighter that's been booked for months...…..ran a yacht today from a dealer in Miami, to one in Fort Lauderdale who bought the trade in but that was set in motion almost a month ago...…. but no passengers on board any of them. Just me and a mate who have both been self quaranteening. But the yacht I brought up needs fuel, for a seatrial and survey scheduled for Saturday (also in motion for a while), pull up to the fuel dock at the marina on the way in, no boats there, 300' of empty dock, 2 employees tell us they're only fueling government/police and commercial boats, however the fuel dock 5 miles behind us, is fueling recreational boats...…it was 5pm.......???? I told the service manager to just get a truck out.

This is a very good example. There is nothing about this which is "essential". We see what's "essential" to be what is essential to our businesses, to keeping us individually entertained or employed, to keep us from losing money. This is why we need leadership from the top, at a federal level border to border. "Essential" means essential to life, i.e. fuel for our vehicles so we can get food and medical treatment or for our homes to keep the lights on, food to sustain life, medical treatment, police and emergency services. Yes it would be inconvenient and cost people money not to move those boats, but that doesn't make it essential. You and your mate probably put yourselves into close contact with dockworkers, foreign crews and I assume you probably shared a car ride to or from the jobs. Did any of this contact help sustain life? We're trying to do the minimum we have to do to follow the rules when what we need to do is slam this with everything we have. NYC's mayor is being slammed right now because when he announced our stay home order he told NY'ers to have one last night of partying before it started. How much did that help to spread the virus in NYC? Meanwhile FEMA just ordered up 100,000 body bags. Dead people don't buy boats. We need to completely isolate this virus.
P.S. If you consider a job "essential" it should be essential enough to protect your workers. In the past week I've been to a supermarket, bagel shop, gas station, Chinese take out and smoke shop. Of them only the girls in the Chinese take out was wearing a mask (and they've since closed). If you can't get masks your workers should at the very least wear a bandana and have hand sanitizer within arms reach. Every human contact is a chance to spread the virus.
