Perhaps a good time to remind ourselves of CG requirements which apply.

The Coast Guard considers it a hazardous condition under 33 CFR 160.216 if anyone, regardless of where they have been or who they have interacted with, shows symptoms of COVID-19 or other flu like illness. This requires immediate notification to the nearest Coast Guard COTP.

Here is a good update to the CG's current stance regarding this.

Should we take then next step and stop all business activity? What is considered vital? that is an interesting debate within itself.

Exactly. When you hear tha fuel docks are shutting down you have to ask yourself what s going on... you don’t have a to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to fuel boats and collect payment with no risk to staff.

Not to start a debate but I wonder how many people who are self quarantine themselves and working from home still making a paycheck and suggesting people are immoral for going outside are still ordering food or packages from amazon. At some point the tires need changed on the trucks, the planes need flown, unloaded, fixed. the guy who fixes the plane needs a new alternator for his car at auto zone. The trucks for the fuel for the trucks need an oil change. Point being I hope the people who are shaming others for still functioning have ate every last crumb in their pantry before they dare order new items from amazon. Unless they want to be hypocritical. Then after the guy fixing the alternator on the aircraft mechanic‘s car risked his life to fix the alternator so the mechanic could help deliver the package it’s a dang shame he can’t apparently take his boat for a cruise.

For what it's worth, my understanding is that the Ft Pierce fuel dock was closed prior to and separate from changes being made due to COVID-19. As of the moment of this posting, fuel docks closing on the ICW is not a widely reported issue. The very helpful Waterway Guide page can be found here: https://www.waterwayguide.com/covid-19-reports

City of Miami Dinner key marina has just announced they re restricting pump out to mooring field boats only once a week. No more pump out for marina customers ... makes no sense.

Ok, here's where this all goes south on me. A country that has literally no tourism - which means no contact with the pandas - now has multiple cases. Another country that practically sits on the pandas doorstep now has one. It must be airborne, like a bio weapon.

It's Friday, usually a payday for some folks. Good bet not to shop on any Friday/Saturday because of pay periods. Wait until Monday when they restock on Sunday night or Thursday after the Wednesday restock.

Went to Costco, yesterday. Lots of empty parking spots, which is unusual at that one. Walked up to the entrance, and saw a long line of people. I looked around and saw two signs, one for over 60 that had no line, and the other for under 60, which had the line formed behind it. I asked the line monitor guy what was up with the lines, and he told me that the fire department had cited other Costcos in town for too many people inside. Since there was no line for my age distinction, I sauntered on in for a look around. There seemed to be fewer people than normal, inside, so I'm guessing the hold-back of the masses was to facilitate distancing, rather than exceeding capacity.
    Interesting times.

This Covid-19 is getting into everything. Today I was using my laptop when I sneezed, and the anti-virus started a scan!
