    Hello my co yacht enthusiast,

This should be a short thread. Im just wondering if its possible to do engine flush to rid the barnacles?

Its for Apremare 29, diesel engine.

    Thanks,

Generally yes. Look for info on Barnacle Buster or Rydlyme.

Ofcourse. We do it all the time. I use Rydlyme. It is a fantastic and very effective product.

Don't forget to remove the water pump impeller when doing the engine flush. You will need to cycle the Rydlyme solution using an external pump for approx. 4 hours inside the engine sea water cooling circuit.

I use Rydlyme and think it's great. It works much faster heated (up to 180°F). If you're having cooling issues, you many need to flush the coolant side, too. Take out your engine zincs.
