I would like to get a fiberglass hardtop for the fly bridge on my 2009 Navigator 4800. Prior to closing shop in 2014, Navigator did offer a hardtop option. I don’t know if anyone bought the molds for Navigator products and I’m hoping someone on this forum has ideas. I’m only interested in a permanent mounted fiberglass product with white finish.

The molds probably went to China. You will most likely need a custom solution , how are the boatyards in your area?

That’s what I figured. The larger boat yards in my area would be in the SF Bay Area. I’m not confident that even they would be up to the challenge. I’ll check with the two largest yards (KKMI and Svendsen’s Bay Marine) both located in Richmond, CA and see if they have recommendations.

    Thanks for the reply.

Anyone who fabricates Sportfish Towers, should be able to make a molded or buy a molded hard top that would fit your vessel and install it.

The California choices for Sportfish Tower fabrication have fallen by the way side with the passing of the owner of C-Fab a few years ago and the move of his biggest client, Cabo back east.

Steve Degroote set the standard for stainless steel work on either coast and his early departure from this life and the marine industry is a void that has not been filled .

Capt Cole, Did you have any luck on your hardtop project? I am interested in a similar project for my Navigator 53. I'm also in the Bay Area.

No I did not. Gave up. Please let me know if you have any better luck.

Curt didn’t have any good news for the project.

I doubt any solutions in San Fran. Your best bet would be a builder. But I can imagine such a solution would be a lot pricier than you would think. One idea is to go with permanent piping and a stamoid ( welded seams) or canvas top ( laced). That will get you water tight and will last many years for a fractions
