Bugatti Boat In Build To Premier In 2020

Automotive companies have tried to dabble in the yacht business off and on but many showcase designs that never really make it off the concept board. One that did recently was from Lexus, the LY650 which was built in partnership with Marquis Yachts. Have we seen a super/hypercar manufacturer step into the marine world as yet? Bugatti has entered this realm and will be offering a 12-meter vessel by Salome Yachts. Etienne Salomé is a French Designer who previously worked with Bugatti.

The boat will cost upwards of 1.6 million Euros and there are only going to be 12 built. It is pretty much going to be a limited edition series with the first one starting construction it is expected to be completed in 2020 in time to be handed-over to its owner around the time of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS20). The Bugatti boat will be powered by two Volvo Penta 880 horse power engines targeting a top-end close to 60-knots.

The Bugatti Boat model is called the 'Atlantic' as seen on the below rendering. It has taken some stylistic cues from the legendary Bugatti 57SC Atlantic car which also inspired the name. Much like many of Bugatti's vehicles there are all aerodynamically efficient and this boat, the Atlantic, has sculpted lines and even aerodynamic tunnels through the hulls We will have to wait until September 2020 to see this boat in the flesh. It is surely is expected to turn heads.
