Time to get off Virginia Key and back to the Miami Beach Convention Center and get the Yacht/brokerage show back to Collins Ave. It’s not time of year, it’s the venues.

The venue is pretty good with plenty of room to grow. The problem is how slow the set up and tear down has been. The entire thing takes about three month. We often anchor out is the basin and you can see how few crew work on the site. They could cut it down to one month total if they tried to

NMMA confirms Miami show to remain in February

Show organisers working with Virginia Key Advisory Board to find ways of enhancing use of the Miami Marine Stadium Park and Basin

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) says the Miami International Boat Show will not move from its traditional February window to a fall timeframe. The clarification follows a news piece that appeared three days ago in Miami Today reporting on a presentation by MIBS director Larry Berryman. Berryman recently met with the Virginia Key Advisory Board — a group of community leaders in Miami helping to shape the use of Virginia Key — and the discussion included how the Show can help maximise the use of the Miami Marine Stadium Park and Basin.
