Hi guys. I am new kid on the block for yachts, and appreciate your help. I have a 95 carver aft cabin with twin 350 crusaders my ac will work for a while then the screen on the thermostat reads CDL I am pretty sure that is what is was. I am not positive. Both units are doing it. Can anyone suggest anything I can try before looking for a specialist?

If both units run off one pump then that would be where I would start since you said both units have the same readout.

I've never seen a CDL error, usually it's HP, LP or LO AC. Check the pump and check the air conditioning strainer, those usually have to be cleaned often.

    Never seen CDL either

I d check water flow first as this is usually the most common source of issues

I know you will but, you really need to double check the readout before doing anything.

Are you familiar where the water exits the boat after it circulates through the ac units? If so, are you getting water flow? If not check for blockage at sea strainer. Check to see if pump is running.
