I need to replace a couple macerator style heads on a boat and I am looking for recommendations. I don't feel like installing vacu flush so I would like to stick with something I can run freshwater off of and plumb straight to tank. I have plenty for room for anything so I will do the elongated and tall head. Does anyone have a brand or series they recommend? I dont need to spend a fortune we are boaters and know how to use toilets so something in the 900-1500$ range would be nice.

I would look at Raritan products, that's all I ever used with great results . Easy to service and use. Not sure if they still have the Fort Lauderdale office, but you can look them up on line. Most suppliers have there products.

Raritan's Marine Elegance electric freshwater head is the one I see most often recommended.

Our Jabsco Quiet Flush electric freshwater head works fine.

    No idea about costs.

Had a Raritan Elegance on our last boat with the fresh or raw water flush option, loved it. Bought a Jabsco Quiet Flush for the other head and that was the noisiest head I have ever run across.

I would also suggest Raritan. Great products and great customer service!

I replaced 2 vacuflushes with Raritan Elegance and will soon be replacing the 3rd with Raritan. I will never go back to Vacuflush. Called Raritan and ordered a spare macerator and they could not have been easier to work with.

Another vote for the Raritan Marine Elegance. Works perfectly. Very please and like it much better than Vacuflushes I've had.

Raritan. Just make sure to get the taller one with elongated bowl. The normal toilet is like a kids toilet in height and size.

Yeah, it's quieter than our last VacuFlush, but otherwise I don't have anything to compare to. Our QF does get noticeably louder when the motor/pump assembly is old and maybe just about to develop a leak; post-leak replacement made it "quiet" (my impression) again.
