I don't think I remember any other yacht besides Shu and Thunder (maybe Azzam) that took this long to deliver since launch from Lurssen. Other yacht I remember is sailing yacht A that took forever to launch. I started a thread on this on general discussion on how each yard is different in their delivery methods. Dutch yards such as Feadship and especially Oceanco I think launch yachts much more complete than German yards. Look at the delivery timeline of project Bravo from oceanco I think it delivered under 2 months after launch.
I think Crescent/Project Thunder is one of the most impressive yacht launch in years and I hope too see her around. I think the press release mention of "cruising asian waters mostly" is a decoy, and this yacht is for a very experienced serial yacht owner.

I agree with what you said. The "cruising mostly in Asian waters" is definitely a decoy. I believe this might be a yacht we see a lot of in different areas.

I don't know how credible this is but she is rumoured to be owned by a Middle East owner. She is about to be delivered and head to the Middle East.

Crescent has left Hamburg and is on her way to Kristiansand. Should be the final „delivery“.

Is it me or her name plate on the stern is still covered, and there is no name plate on the side like many other yachts?

You're right, she doesn't appear to have any name plates on her sides. As for the stern name plate, there are some photos of it uncovered when Crescent was in Gibraltar.

That extended hangar really ruins her good looks..it is better if they keep it retracted!

Thats the issue with telescoping hangars, they allow for the helipad to be in the ideal location (aft on one of the upper decks) and for proper helicopter storage, but compared to having a hanger under the foredeck (Madame Gu, Faith, possibly project Lightning) they look hideous when deployed.

The ability to conduct helicopter operations whilst underway must have become a very serious owner requirement, we have now seen several yachts whose design seems to have been heavily determined by the need to provide a large aft helipad, in addition to Dilbar, Crescent, Flying Fox, Redwood and Lightning from Lurssen the new Feadships Anna and Lady S show similar characteristics .

I think the addition of the garage is smart. If it’s collapsed, there is no impact on the lines of the yacht and they don’t always need to have that extended unless for longer voyages. The other option would to be able to have a similar hangar that Octopus has but up top there.

Paolini Photography's Instagram page has a nice photo of Crescent and one of her tenders. Do you know what those numbers on the tender mean? Looks military-ish, just like how Skat sports her project number on her sides.

The helicopter on the helideck looks like VP-CFF, Flying Fox's EC155.

The Nobiskrug EX. "Flying Fox"'s Damen support vessel wasn't called 6701 as well in naval pennant style.

Where is Crescent and why is this gorgeous yacht not being photographed as much as other super yachts? Would love to see more of her

She was in Cagliari, Sardinia for the last couple of month. Right now she is on her way to Trieste.

Yes, that's the one. Thanks for posting the video.

I'm glad Crescent is on the move. Like the rest of the recent batch of Luerssen's mega-yachts she's somewhat secretive/has secretive owners.

From covered nameplates after the delivery, to month-long refits just weeks after being delivered, not forgetting Luerssen's misleading/misinforming press releases, like Al Lusail was supposed to stun the Hollywood crowd (while we can't attest if celebrities have or have not been aboard the yacht, in this day and age - with social media - I guess we would know) or Crescent would cruise mainly in Asian waters.
