    I couldn’t agree more. Shocked at what the OP said to the guru of yachts! I am always amazed at how much Capt J knows. Maybe even more shocked at how willing he is to share his knowledge. Even with people who are rude and don’t appreciate it.

    I know this is an old reply which I had missed back then

    Keep in mind that maintenance intervals on diesels are hours OR a fuel burned. So yes while running at hull speed means more hours on the meters, fuel burn along with wear and tear is actually much lower overall.
