2002 50' Post w/ 10 cyl MAN 860hp

I have a customer with a 50’ post with mans and they have over 6,000 hours and have never been overhauled and still run great. Boat cruises at 27 knots at 55 gph. Very good engine package and the mans aren’t that expensive to maintain. Very smooth and quiet at cruise. Most people do the 1000 hour service every 4-5 years or 1000 hours. Man calls for every 2 years, but I unless the motors are in warranty, nobody I know of follows that.

2002s were effected by Gelcoat issues. My customers is just slightly older and they were all fixed and awlgripped in the early 2000s and haven’t re-appeared. If they aren’t apparent on this one, they probably never will be or were already fixed.

You guys are kind! I certainty intend to remain the grumpf on YF, but I'll be getting into something I can single handle at a windy dock - maybe a 38 Eastbay with a bunch of thrusters

My 02 was a disaster as well. It looked like an ex wife took a hammer to the whole topside. $150k is certainly on the high side. I had my boat fixed for under $50k. Still a ton of $$$, but at least the buyer was willing to deal.

Soulstice- are you looking to move up to a 50?

I have had my 99 /50 about 8 years now, with 1050 Man's I love them, after Irma fresh bottom paint and prop speed, 36 knots 2400 rpm, with 24 knots great on fuel, and yes they are costly to maintain.
We are thinking about a Enclosed Bridge next, we will miss the Post!

We are going to miss Her, but we are both over 68 and I do not want the other half carrying dogs / Drinks up to the Bridge on the Outside, its a ***** to get old, but still LOVE our Speeding Sport Fish for travel.

Looks like you have a few options in the market. I saw that Beau may be selling his 98 50' as well. Single owner boat right there, no gelcoat issues, and located in NY. If you do have gelcoat issues on the next ride, I can hook you up with the guys that did my boat. Not museum quality, but for 30% of price, its a screaming deal.
