Blue water dripless shaft seals no longer dripless..

Most of the time I use the downstream zinc/drain fitting on the trans cooler, it is usually 3/8" or 1/2". If the hydraulic lines and brackets allow, I rotate the coolers so that fitting is on the bottom or close to it. Also have had the best luck with the monel strainer baskets, stainless don't seem to make it past two years.

The ZF coolers on our 64 were easy to tap the outlet with a tee, the strainer isn't in this pic but is right below next to the stringer.
