As part of the huge investment Princess Yachts is receiving from investment group L Capital 2 FCPR a new model has been revealed. The Y85 is the latest luxury yacht to be unveiled by the UK builder. It sits at the top of the flybridge range for Princess Yachts. Principle designers working on the project include Olesinski Naval Architects and Italian styling experts Pininfarina.

Further details about the Y85 include accommodation for up to eight guests in four ensuite cabins. The master suite is large and spans the full beam of the yacht, at 6.30-meters (20.7-feet). From the outside the location of the master suite is easy to demarcate by the extra large windows in the hull. With the windows on either side the cabin will be lit by natural light permeating through those two large windows. Princess Yachts said the Y85, "heralds a new vision for the design detail and use of craftsmanship". That high level of craftsmanship will become "a hallmark" for its Y Class Motor Yachts.

The yacht is expected to be powered by a pair of MAN V12 diesels. She should be able to reach a top-end speed of 33-knots. Princess Yachts says the Y85 is "created for the owner who wants to travel fast, in style and luxury". The interior has been designed to be functional, ready and stylish. Clean lines are met by neutral and subtle tones which ensure a light and sophisticated appeal.
