Used it today for the first time coming back from the Exumas. Worked well. Much faster and easier than the old SVRS

One big difference is that you report the trip upon arrival, not while in the Bahamas as before

The initial version had a bug causing it to crash which was fixed in the last couple of days

Once the trip was submitted, youbare prompted to wait for a CBP officer to initiate video conference. He asked a few questions and requested to see each person with their passport. That was it... received a clearance confirmation by email a few minutes later

Because of the video link US citizens don't have to go to immigration in person even if they are don't have a Local Boater Option nr.

We've found SVRS to be easy. How is this easier? I got the impression it targeted those not in SVRS rather than seeking to replace it.

Seems CBP is keeping low key right now as it's officially still a Pilot program.

We were going to try it our last trip just to see how it worked but it wasn't operable at the time. Of course the first question from one on our boat was "do we need to be dressed?"

SVRS was fine but the data entry on the site was a pain when you had a number of non SVRS pax to enter. It was 3 or 4 short form submission per pax. When it was aleays the same group on board, it was easier as you could save templates for re using. You also has to submit the float plan before leaving the bahamas which for folks relying on free wifi could have been a problem although now with the cheap BTC data plans it s no longer a worry

I didnt try to access svrs but was told by CBP MIA it was goign to be shut down 4/15

I guess if you aim your phone properly, you dont have to be dressed...

Used it for the first time Saturday coming back from the Bahamas. I went the regular SVRS way and when I called the number the person that answered walked me through the process using ROAM. He said that ROAM will be the new system and are forcing all SRVS/LBO's to use it. It was pretty simple once I understood the Decal number entry. I didn't have a decal number at the time so I was told to just put in random numbers until I received my decal.
I got the decal today so next trip should be a breeze.
