Gentleman, I am pleased to report that I recently found and purchased a 1974 Dory Cutlass in original condition from the original family that owned it. It will take a lot of work getting this boat back where it needs to be, but I can't believe I was lucky enough to find this with all its original canvas and everything. It will be a long road, but you all have inspired me, that this was a great investment and well worth the effort!

Do you happen to know the size prop you are using ? thank you

I'll have to check. I did switch from the original Michigan wheel 3 blade to an OJ 4 blade and it was like night and day. Here's a video of her running.

Maybe someone can help. I recently a 1974 Dory. I’m missing some trim parts. On the inside the hull at transom over top the fuel tank, I have a hole where a trim piece seems to be missing. Does anyone have a picture?

On my boat, the fuel fill is on the top and below the rub rail is the stern light.

Inside the boat at the transom in the fiberglass fuel tank cover I have a small stainless steel inspection door is that what your missing?

It is a square I’m guessing 8 x 4 in that neighborhood, without measuring.. I see sea dog has a rectangular on made of stainless. I could also make one from starboard

Does anyone have any secrets on how to get the cockpit to drain faster?

I rebuilt my floor last year and raised the floor on inch. It should help.

Really enjoying the one I have it cleaned up pretty well. I was going to replace the covering boards and almost had a heart attack when the fellow at the lumber yard said 1000.00for 2 boards 3/4x9x11’. Re-did the old ones and looks pretty good.

Yes I’m trying to figure that one out, the teak boards $$$$
