    Hey Ocean Yacht crew...
    Dumb question for you all...
Hull Construction of a 1995 48SS - Solid or Cored? If Cored, Balsa?
    Thanks

In the decks. Whats in the wet hull??
I thought it was solid above the water line.

I believe they are solid glass below the waterline and cored above

Boomer sounds like you confirmed wood core on your '84 build.

Cheasapeake I'm pretty sure that your '95 48SS build would be closed cell PVC foam above the water line, decks and bulkheads. Shouldn't be any balsa on that boat... anywhere. Pop out a bored fitting somewhere to know for sure. Let us know if you confirm one way or another

How about an '89 or '90 Ocean 48 MY- solid glass below waterline, or cored?

Bow pulpit on my 97 is wood cored. I think all else above waterline is foam cored.
