looking to install a CCTV camera underneath the overhang above the aft deck and have the wires run to the fly bridge bus bars under the steering wheel. Any idea whether and if so where a wire chase exists to get the wires from the overhang to under the steering wheel. The boat is a 56SS.

I have no experience with your particular boat, but I've done dozens of installations of speakers and cameras into areas like yours. The key is to open anything that already exists in the overhang, like speakers or lights, and figure out where that wiring is coming from and how it's supported. I have been lucky in some cases, and been able to use an existing wire to pull messengers or new wiring. Pretty rare, though. Once a light or speaker is removed, you must try to get a look inside with mirrors, flashlights, or inspection cameras. I've been on boats where installers simply popped holes in likely places and covered them with access ports or plates. Sometimes they found a route; sometimes not.
