    Hi All

Im super new all of this and as keen as I am to make it my career im researching the hell out of everything.

I'm in a bit of a quandary regarding offshore bank accounts, because of my location, google only shows a local bank that has an offshore department. I know this bank and would rather cut my left leg off (I'm a righty)

Can you super pleasant bunch of people make a few suggestions to me regarding a decent bank that I can set myself up with.

    Kind regards
    Nik

You haven't given nearly enough info for anyone to be able to comment on the subject. Maybe find a web forum about banks. This forum is mostly about boats.

Much depends on what type yacht and what the situation is. Much of it is direct deposit and you live on ATM machines. If chartering, you have tips so a good bit of cash. You can always use a bank that is most convenient and had international locations and then transfer funds to your favorite local bank. Don't try to answer this question until you have a specific situation to deal with.

You'll find useful information on this topic from Saffers in your position on ************ . Go to the general discussion area under "Dock Talk"

I'm lucky enough to be resident in both Guernsey and Antigua, 2 offshore banking bases. As one billionaire said to me " you lucky f***ker", but banking law on a global footing has changed greatly. Even my dear old mother in Antigua cannot get a Sterling account in Guernsey due to strict rules, but just fine in Jersey, a few miles away??

I too had a French account, most troublesome. Now based in Guernsey and Antigua. Works for me as I live there too.
