Hi. I'm looking for a live aboard yacht ( 30-35ft) and there are several Carver's for sale around my area, plus a few Silverton and Cruisers. I like the layout if the Santego. I found one with diesel engines, and the rest have gas engines. All twin set up.
I plan to live on the lake for awhile then move to the coast and eventually cruise to Bahamas.
Which engine set up is better? Anyone else live aboard a Carver?
Btw...I'm a noob here, to yachts and living aboard. But I hope to learn a lot. :)

My cousin has a Santego and they really like it. I like it a lot too and think it has a great layout, up top and below. In my opinion, diesel engines make it an excellent boat! The previous owner would spend 2-3 weeks at a time on the Great Lakes.

Diesel by far. Much more reliable AND fuel efficient.
